Emergency Management building communty resilience

Kingborough Council and the community (individuals and businesses) have a shared responsibility to actively engage in emergency management to building community resilience.

The Kingborough Emergency Management Committee provides the catalyst for planning with the community to guide prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.  The Committee structure is Council's emergency management personnel and six community members under the chairmanship of Mayor Steve Wass.

Council's commitment to emergency management is underpinned by the Community Emergency Management Policy.
